From first line to last light.

Hallett & Voss is an architecture practice in Chicago. Workplace, civic, and master planning, carried from first sketch to occupancy.

What we take on

  • Workplace

Towers and floors that earn the commute.

  • Civic

Libraries, halls, and rooms the public owns.

  • Master planning

Blocks, districts, and the long view.

  • Interiors

Workplaces fitted to the teams that use them.

  • On the boards

Work in design now, issued when it is ready.

How we work

Every project begins as a drawing set and ends as a place. We develop the two together, so what reaches the site is buildable, priced, and still the design.

We stay involved through construction, answering field questions and protecting the intent of the documents.

Structure, envelope, and cost planning start together on day one. Late surprises are usually early decisions deferred.

MATERIALS, SAMPLED

The live model behind this section shows the building's structural grid of nine meter bays, its core, and a vertical section cut through the south facade with program labels for the trading floor, the winter garden at levels eight and nine, and the mechanical floor.
